About Environment@RTP

Mission

Environment@rtp is a committee which works to provide a coordinated response by the Research Triangle Park addressing environmental issues. The scope of our program includes water and air resources, waste management, green building practices, and conservation of wildlife habitat.

Objectives

• Create a coordinated strategy among companies operating in RTP
• Share best practices among RTP organizations to address environmental issues
• Work with the local government to address environmental issues
• Bring environmental education resources to RTP organizations

The Research Triangle Park features world-leading science and technology companies, many of which are performing research and creating the products that will help us achieve a more sustainable future. They are implementing science-based ways to minimize their environmental footprint and monitoring and reporting resource use and emissions to transparently communicate environmental and sustainability practices.
